Fragrant Perfumes

More and more celebrities are now signing contracts with perfume houses to associate their name with a signature scent and thus enhance sales of the perfume. They design and produce their own beauty products, which can range from sexy lingerie pieces to perfumes and cosmetics. Even celebrity couples, such as the famous Posh and David Beckham, have produced their own ‘his and hers’ fragrance.

Beyonce Knowles signed with the well known cosmetics company L’Oreal in 2003, earning her a staggering $1 million. Following her success with L’Oreal she then went on to launching her own fragrance in 2004 which she called ‘True Star’, followed by True Gold in 2005, both of which being Tommy Hilfiger. Kylie Minogue has signed a licensing deal with the cosmetics company Coty. In November 2006 she launched her perfume ‘Darling’, which was slowly followed by the launch of ‘Sweet Darling’, ‘Sexy Darling’, ‘Showtime’ and ‘Couture’. Kylie is renowned as an Australia pop singer-songwriter, and occasional actress, such as her appearance in Neighbours in 1986, and due to her recent illness is also renowned for suffering against Breast Cancer. Britney Spears has launched several perfumes throughout her career. In 2004 she released her very first fragrance which she called ‘Curious’ by Elizabeth Arden, earning a staggering $100 million. In 2005 she then released ‘Fantasy’, followed by ‘Curious: In Control’ and ‘Midnight Fantasy’ in 2006, which were also Elizabeth Arden scents.
